This set reflects some of the irony and wit for which Parker was famous, covering subjects such as love, anger, loyalty and life in general.
The musical language is fairly simple, with occasional jazz undertones reminiscent of the Parker era, requiring a legit singer with some jazz leanings or a jazz singer with some legit leanings. The vocal writing is mostly mid-range and makes no extreme demands on the voice. The songs in this set may be performed individually.
