This arrangement presents the melody against a slightly re-harmonized accompaniment. It features polychordal treatment of the melody as well as occasional tuplets in the bass played against Bach's triplets. This creates a slightly Brahmsian feel. The middle section features chromatic lines in the inner voice, adding harmonic interest to the traditional version.
